Footrest Guide: Why You Need One and How to Choose

If your feet don't reach the floor after adjusting your chair, a footrest is mandatory. Here's how to pick the right one.

Feet that dangle or hover compress the veins behind your thighs, restrict blood flow, and force your pelvis into a posterior tilt that rounds your lower back. A footrest keeps your feet firmly planted, maintains proper knee angle, and stabilises your pelvis. Look for adjustable height (tilting models are best), a wide anti-slip surface, and enough room to shift your feet positions throughout the day.
