Our Standards

Our Editorial Standards

DeskFix is committed to providing accurate, independent, and trustworthy ergonomic guidance. These editorial guidelines govern every piece of content we publish.

Editorial Independence

  • DeskFix maintains complete editorial independence. No brand, manufacturer, retailer, or advertiser has any control over our content, reviews, or recommendations.
  • Our editorial team makes all decisions about which products to review, how to score them, and what to publish — without external influence.
  • We do not accept payment, free products, or incentives in exchange for coverage, placement, or positive reviews.
  • Sponsored or partnered content, if any, is clearly and prominently labeled as such and never mimics our editorial voice or format.

Fact-Checking Process

  • Every claim made on DeskFix — whether about a product, a health condition, or an ergonomic principle — is verified against peer-reviewed research, clinical guidelines, or authoritative sources.
  • Health and medical claims are reviewed by qualified healthcare professionals before publication.
  • Product specifications, pricing, and availability are verified directly from manufacturer sources or authorized retailers at the time of writing.
  • We maintain a library of sources for every article. Readers can find citations linked within each guide and at the bottom of each product review.

Expert Review Process

  • All content that touches on health, injury prevention, or clinical ergonomics is reviewed by at least one member of our expert panel before publication.
  • Our expert panel includes qualified physiotherapists, ergonomics engineers, ophthalmologists, and certified ergonomic assessment specialists.
  • Experts review content for clinical accuracy, practical relevance, and alignment with current evidence-based practice.
  • The name, credentials, and review date of the reviewing expert are listed on each applicable article or product review.

Affiliate Disclosure Policy

  • DeskFix participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates Program. We may earn a small commission when you purchase a product through an affiliate link on our site.
  • Affiliate commissions do not affect our product selection, scoring, placement, or editorial decisions in any way.
  • Affiliate links are clearly disclosed on every page where they appear — typically at the top or bottom of the content.
  • We never use affiliate relationships to justify a positive review. Products with higher commission rates are not given preferential treatment.

Correction Policy

  • We take accuracy seriously. If an error is identified in any of our content, we commit to correcting it promptly and transparently.
  • Substantive corrections (errors that affect the meaning or recommendation of an article) are noted with a correction notice at the top of the article, including the date of correction and a brief description of what was changed.
  • Minor corrections (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed without notice but are tracked internally.
  • Readers who identify errors are encouraged to contact us immediately so we can investigate and correct the issue.

Sources & Citations

  • We cite primary sources whenever possible — peer-reviewed journal articles, clinical practice guidelines, government health agencies, and manufacturer technical specifications.
  • Sources are linked inline within articles and listed in a dedicated references section at the bottom of each guide and review.
  • We prioritize recent research (published within the last 5–10 years) and clearly note the publication date of each source we cite.
  • When citing health statistics or epidemiological data, we prefer India-specific studies and data sources to ensure relevance to our audience.

Conflict of Interest Policy

  • All DeskFix contributors, editors, and expert reviewers must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could reasonably influence their work.
  • No team member is permitted to review or recommend a product from a company in which they hold a financial interest.
  • Expert reviewers are compensated for their time at fair market rates. This compensation is not tied to the outcome or direction of their review.
  • We maintain a public register of expert reviewers and their affiliations. No reviewer has ever been asked to alter a review to suit commercial interests.
