Every product recommendation on DeskFix is backed by a rigorous, transparent methodology. Here's exactly how we select, test, and score the ergonomic products we recommend.
Product Selection
- We research the Indian market to identify ergonomic products from brands that are readily available domestically — not just imported or hard-to-find items.
- Products are selected based on market demand, user reviews, expert recommendations, and clinical relevance to common desk-related conditions (back pain, neck pain, wrist pain, eye strain).
- We prioritize products across price ranges (budget, mid-range, premium) so our recommendations serve every desk worker regardless of budget.
- Products that fail to meet minimum quality benchmarks during initial screening are excluded before formal testing begins.
Testing Process
- Every product undergoes a structured two-phase evaluation: lab testing and real-world use testing.
- Lab testing involves objective measurements — adjustability range, material durability, weight capacity, build tolerance, and safety compliance.
- Real-world testing is conducted by our team of ergonomics engineers and health professionals who use each product in actual work environments for a minimum of two weeks.
- Products are tested by multiple evaluators with different body types and work styles to ensure recommendations are inclusive and broadly applicable.

Build Quality
Materials, construction durability, stability, and overall robustness under daily use.
Value for Money

Range of customizable settings, ease of adjustment, and accommodation for different body types and setups.
Overall Score
The Overall score is a weighted average of the four sub-scores. Each sub-score is rated on a 1–10 scale based on objective measurements and subjective expert evaluation. We do not use affiliate commission rates or brand relationships to influence scores.
Review Process
- Each product review is drafted by a product testing specialist based on test data and usage notes.
- Reviews are peer-reviewed by at least one other team member to verify accuracy and consistency.
- Clinical claims (e.g., 'this chair reduces lower back pain') are reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional before publication.
- Every review includes clear pros and cons, a detailed verdict, who should buy it and who should avoid it, and verified alternatives.
How Often We Update Reviews
- Product reviews are reviewed and updated at least once every six months to reflect market changes, new models, and updated pricing.
- If a product is discontinued or replaced by a newer version, the review is updated or retired with a clear notice.
- Price and availability are verified at the time of each update. We note the last review date and last price-check date on every product page.
- User feedback and new testing data may trigger an off-cycle review update at any time.
