Correct Keyboard Position for Wrist Pain Prevention

Your keyboard position determines your wrist angle. Wrong position leads to RSI and carpal tunnel.

Your keyboard should be at or slightly below elbow height so your forearms are parallel to the floor and your wrists stay straight (neutral). Never type with your wrists bent upward (extension) or outward (ulnar deviation) — both compress the carpal tunnel. If your desk is too high for this, use a keyboard tray. Consider a split keyboard if you can't keep your wrists straight on a standard board.
