Best Mouse Position for Wrist and Shoulder Health

Your mouse position affects your entire arm, from wrist to shoulder. Here's how to place it correctly.

Your mouse should sit at the same height as your keyboard, close enough that your elbow stays at 90 degrees, and positioned so you don't reach forward or out to the side. A mouse platform attached to your keyboard tray keeps both devices level. For existing wrist pain, a vertical mouse keeps your forearm in a neutral handshake position, and a trackball eliminates wrist movement entirely.
